Rare Roman soldier’s wrist purse discovered in South Moravia
Archaeologists in South Moravia have uncovered a bronze fragment of a soldier’s wrist purse. Over 1,800 years old, it is most likely the oldest purse found on the territory of today’s Czechia. Its design indicates that it would have been worn on the left arm, which would have kept the right arm unencumbered and free for battle.
