Rare Ancient Mosaic Unearthed in Central Athens

Just a few feet beneath pedestrians on Evripidou Street in the center of Athens, construction crews discovered a significant, well-preserved ancient mosaic.
Despite centuries of urban development above it, large sections of the artwork remain remarkably intact.
