Zeeland
Since the 12th century several Flemish counts minted coins in the area that is now Zeeland. Under count Willem V of Holland a second mint was active during the period 1366-1367. Making use of the unstable political situation during the first years of the revolt, a provincial mint was opened in 1580 in Middelburg. It stayed in commission until 1799.
