Holland
The oldest coins of Holland date back to the fifth decade of the 11th century. A steady minting of coins was first established under count Dirk VII (1190-1203). After that time the mint was based in Dordrecht, virtually uninterrupted. After 1433 coins were minted according to the Burgundian-Dutch rate. In 1573 the States of Holland took over the administration of the mint.
