Coin hoard of Merishausen now in Museum zu Allerheiligen

In 1922, a spectacular find was made during construction work in Merishausen: over a thousand silver and gold coins that had been buried around 1554 came to light. The coins come mainly from southern German cities, but also from Austria, France, Italy and other countries.
The exhibition can be seen at the Museum zu Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen, Switzerland from 15 March to 19 October 2025. Click here to read more.
