Celtic Gold Coins Found in Switzerland

Two 2,300-year-old gold coins have been recovered from the Bärenfels bog in a woodland near Arisdorf in northern Switzerland by a pair of volunteers working with the local archaeology department. The extremely rare Celtic gold coins are providing new information about the early phases of coinage in the area and ritual practices dating back more than 2,000 years.
